Morgensonne Journal of Multidisciplinary Community Service upholds the highest standards of academic integrity and strictly prohibits all forms of plagiarism.

Definition of Plagiarism

Plagiarism includes, but is not limited to:

  • Copying another author's work (in whole or in part) without proper citation.
  • Paraphrasing substantial parts of another author's work without acknowledgment.
  • Self-plagiarism (reusing one’s own previously published work without disclosure or citation).
  • Submitting work that is not the author's own (e.g., third-party writing services or ghostwriting).

Screening Process

All submitted manuscripts will be checked for similarity using plagiarism detection software (such as Turnitin, iThenticate, or similar tools) prior to the peer-review process. The acceptable similarity index is below 20%, excluding references and properly cited quotations.

Editorial Actions

If plagiarism is detected:

  • Minor plagiarism (similarity 20–30%): The manuscript will be returned to the author for revision and clarification.
  • Major plagiarism (similarity >30%): The manuscript will be automatically rejected.
  • If plagiarism is found after publication, the article will be retracted and a retraction notice will be published.

Responsibility

Authors are solely responsible for the originality of their content. Editors and reviewers are also encouraged to report any suspected plagiarism during the review process.

This policy is in line with the journal’s commitment to ethical publishing and academic honesty.
